Terms and Conditions for Electrical Services

Agreement Overview

By hiring EM2 Electrical Services, LLC ("we," "us," "our") for electrical services, the client ("you," "your") agrees to the following terms and conditions. This agreement is legally binding and governs the provision of all electrical services.

Scope of Services

We will provide electrical services as outlined in the job estimate or written agreement, including but not limited to:

  • Electrical installation, maintenance, and repairs.

  • Inspection of electrical systems.

  • Troubleshooting electrical issues.

  • Wiring, circuit, and panel upgrades.

  • Additional services may be provided upon request, subject to a new estimate and written agreement.

Consultation

Upon any service – clients are required to book a consultation only. A consultation is required for the electrician to review the project scope and needs. The price is for the electrician to be dispatched to your location, briefly review the project scope, estimate cost, and answer any questions you may have regarding the project solely. It does not include diagnosis or repair. The consultation cost is based on the project type – residential/commercial and the day and time it takes place. Once booked it is non-refundable – but can be rescheduled with 24 hours of written notice.

Estimates

  • An estimate will be provided before work begins. Estimates are based on current material and labor rates.

  • The final cost may vary if additional work or unforeseen issues arise during the project.

  • The client will be notified if additional costs are expected, and work will only continue once the client has approved the revised estimate.

Payment Terms

  • 50% of the project deposit is due immediately, as well as 100% of the cost of any applicable permits.

  • Final payment is due upon completion of the service.

  • Accepted forms of payment include cash, check, debit card, credit card*, Venmo, Zelle, or PayPal. There will be a 6% credit card fee if using a credit card.

  • A daily applied late fee of 1.5% will apply to overdue payments, starting 1 day after the invoice date.

Client Responsibilities

  • The client is responsible for providing access to the premises and ensuring the work area is safe and free from hazards and that the electrician may work in a hospitable environment.

  • The client should inform the electrician of any known issues or existing conditions that could affect the work, such as existing wiring issues, plumbing obstructions, or structural concerns.

  • It is the client’s responsibility to obtain any necessary permits or approvals required for electrical work unless otherwise specified in writing.

  • The client is responsible for sourcing and completing any drywall repairs, if applicable. The company or its representatives will not complete drywall repairs.

 

Our Guarantee

The company warrants all work will be performed in a satisfactory manner. All materials used in the project will be new and of good quality. Work will be completed as defined in the scope of work outlined in the proposal acceptance. Any warranties for parts or materials are subject to specific manufacturer terms on such products.

Safety and Compliance

  • All work will be performed in compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes and safety standards.

  • We reserve the right to refuse to perform work that may compromise safety or violate building codes or regulations.

  • We reserve the right to refuse to perform work in a hostile or emotionally, discriminatory abusive environment.

 

Cancellation and Rescheduling

If the client wishes to cancel or reschedule an appointment, we require 24 hours of notice. We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel an appointment due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to weather, illness, or emergencies.

Confidentiality and Privacy

Any personal or sensitive information provided by the client will be treated as confidential and will not be shared with third parties, except as necessary to complete the job or as required by law.

Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to first attempt to resolve the matter through direct communication.

Force Majeure

Neither party will be held liable for failure to perform their obligations under this agreement due to circumstances beyond their reasonable control, such as natural disasters, strikes, or other unforeseeable events.

Governing Law

This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Virginia, and any legal actions arising from this agreement must be brought in the appropriate court in that jurisdiction.

Acknowledgment

By hiring us for electrical services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms and conditions.
